Plaza Del Rio Eye Clinic is Hiring a Medical Office Receptionist Near Peoria, AZ

Looking for a motivated, positive, and reliable medical receptionist to join our growing private practice. Our team consists of one ophthalmologist, 2 medical optometrist, and loyal staff who has worked together for 20 years.

Travel my be required to our Sun City West Location that is less than 20 mins away from out main office. Employee will have set schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome all patients, vendors, and visitors with a positive and warm attitude.
  • Check patients in and out and verifying you have correct demographics, insurances, and paperwork collected.
  • Answer phones calls and document requests appropriately.
  • Schedule patient appointments by triaging all calls and appropriately scheduling follow up appointments per doctor’s request.
  • Monitor clinic and schedule flow and report any problems with office manager
  • Review incoming faxes and distribute tasks to appropriate departments
  • Collect payments and verify insurance information
  • Review incoming referrals and schedule appointments

Job Requirements

  • Medical background is a requirement (ophthalmology is a huge plus)
  • Must have experience with electronic medical records (Eclinicalworks is our current EHR)
  • Team player with multitasking ability
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional and friendly relationships with patients and other staff
  • Must have reliable transportation to work
  • Must have a good attendance report
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
